Charlotte Wegener

I have worked within social and health care education throughout my professional life – first as a teacher and later as a consultant and manager. When I was given the opportunity to conduct research, social and health care education was therefore a natural focus for my curiosity.
I completed my PhD on innovative collaboration between colleges and practical training providers in 2013 and have since been involved in a range of development and research projects in the field. I am particularly interested in learning and innovation through collaboration across education, workplaces, public administration and civil society.
Britta Møller

I am interested in exploring the educational aspects of care work, with a focus on learning in formal and informal settings and through the diverse social interactions that take place at work. Drawing on pragmatic philosophy, I approach both research and learning in care work as collaborative explorations of doubt in uncertain situations.
I am also interested in how interactions between educational institutions and care practice can be supported, enabling both initial education and continuing professional development to be organised around collaborative exploration as an ongoing aspect of learning in care work.

I am particularly interested in how “the third context” can be used as a framework for advancing research within the social and health care field.

Nanna Limskov Stærk Christiansen

I am interested in how organisational processes can support professionals in their work, benefiting the learning and well-being of students at social and health care colleges and, ultimately, professional practice within the social and health care sector.
I am particularly interested in how an inquiry-based approach to everyday practice can be developed among staff at social and health care colleges and how management can support this process. My work focuses on the relationship between initiatives and their effects, as well as the mechanisms through which these effects are produced.

Julie Kordovsky

Julie Kordovsky is employed as a PhD fellow as part of the project DELTAG – Learning Workplace Communities in Elderly Care.
Julie Kordovsky has a background as an organisational psychologist in the field of educational psychology. She conducts arts-based research focusing on visuality and performance.
Her PhD project aims to contribute knowledge about how participants experience the recruitment initiatives for elderly care carried out as part of DELTAG – Learning Workplace Communities in Elderly Care.
Anna Opstrup Larsen

I work with how collaborative research can lead to organisational development processes and lasting forms of dialogue at social and health care colleges.
I am particularly interested in how educators within social and health care education can become co-researchers in examining how knowledge, professional expertise and professional development are valued and understood.
In my PhD project, I explore how a shared, research-informed investigation of knowledge within the social and health care field can create a wider range of opportunities for educators across college-based education and practical training.
This includes examining how action research into knowledge within the social and health care field can strengthen the reputation and quality of the programmes, as well as organisational learning.
Jan Ifversen
PhD and Professor of Global Studies and European Studies at Aarhus University
For several years, I have conducted research into collective identities, cultural differences and intercultural relations.
I am interested both in how expressions of identity and cultural difference can lead to conflict and in how they can develop into positive intercultural relations.
Inspired by my daughter, who has worked as a social and health care assistant for many years, I have become interested in the significant contribution that social and health care assistants make to our society.
Nana Clemmensen
Associate Professor and PhD in Educational Anthropology and Danish as a Second Language at the Danish School of Education, Aarhus University
My research focuses on the linguistic socialisation of children and young people across the home, school and wider society. I draw on both linguistic and anthropological theories and methods relating to language acquisition, socialisation, identity and professional expertise, including expertise within health and care.
I am currently working on the project Linguistic Barriers and Potentials among Students with Danish as a Second Language in Social and Health Care Education.
The project examines everyday language practices, challenges and opportunities among students with Danish as a second language enrolled in social and health care helper and social and health care assistant programmes, both in college-based teaching and during practical training.
Maria Hvid Dille
Assistant Professor, PhD, at the Department of Communication and Psychology, Aalborg University
My research focuses on how organisations work within and respond to processes of change, and how these processes influence working and management practices, understandings of quality and perceptions of professional identity. In recent years, I have studied the changes brought about by digitalisation, particularly the processes of inclusion and exclusion associated with them.
I am currently working with Norwegian and Danish researchers, selected municipalities and social and health care colleges to develop knowledge about the competencies required of social and health care professionals in the elderly care sector of the future. My particular focus is on how care work and care professions are valued, and on digital care as a transformative regime.
Antonia Scholkmann

My research focuses on the use of digital learning technologies in education, including professional education.
I am specifically interested in how generative artificial intelligence is changing and shaping teaching approaches and opportunities for participation and learning among non-traditional students in social and health care education.
My research is informed by practice theory and extensive empirical data collected through ethnographic fieldwork.
Amina Sabah Karim

I am deeply interested in research within didactics and pedagogy, particularly the use of information technology in education and learning.
I am especially interested in how AI can support bilingual students in vocational education and training, and how AI technologies can strengthen opportunities for participation among bilingual students within social and health care education.
I am affiliated with the project Strengthening Opportunities for Participation among Bilingual Women in Social and Health Care Education through Generative AI, in which I research bilingual women’s own learning practices and participation in teaching through the use of generative AI.
Sandra Inigo Buhl

I am interested in how we can create the best possible learning conditions for future social and health care professionals at a time when shortages of skilled workers, rapid technological development and strong political attention are placing pressure on the profession.
With three years of practical experience as a relief worker in home care, I bring an in-depth understanding of the everyday realities faced by social and health care professionals in elderly care.
My PhD project is based at SOSU Østjylland, which has a particular interest in 21st-century skills as a teaching strategy. I am interested in how collective learning takes place and is negotiated when students’ different socioeconomic, linguistic and cultural backgrounds are expressed in the learning environment.
Narges Ghandchi
Postdoctoral Researcher and PhD in Educational Anthropology, Aarhus University
Since my earlier research projects, I have been interested in language use, learning and collaboration in interactional contexts among migrant and refugee families in Denmark.
I am currently conducting fieldwork at a social and health care college, focusing on students’ language development and participation in interactions across three classes.
My work therefore includes observation and the recruitment of interested students from across the classes.
I hold a postdoctoral position in the project Sociolinguistic Barriers and Potentials among Second Language Learners in Danish Social and Healthcare Education.
Julie Nørgaard

My research explores creativity as an everyday phenomenon – something that occurs naturally and shapes social practices in our shared lives.
I have a particular interest in exploring the democratic and sustainable potential of creativity in relation to working life.
I very much look forward to being part of FoCUS, where I will contribute to collaborations and research projects concerning elderly care and welfare innovation over the coming year.
